+Ripdubski #3 Posted February 17, 2016 None of those in the zip. I have been unable to locate the disk utility. I asked Ken Leonhardi about why they chose the custom disk format and it boiled down to random access and speed. He no longer had any copies of this utility or the * Perfects as the rights to the whole suite were sold to WordPerfect long ago. He did say they probably should have released their own DOS. He had some interesting things to say. The utility in question allows you to copy files to and from an LJK data disk to a standard Atari DOS disk. It would be a good find if someone can locate it. Interview link: http://computingpioneers.com/index.php/Ken_Leonhardi Inverse ATASCII episode featuring the interview and Letter Perfect: http://inverseatascii.info/2014/10/14/s1e2-ljk-letter-perfect/ Note Ken didn't want to be recorded.

+Allan #10 Posted February 18, 2016 1045 How do you load the second disk? LJK stuff has it's own DOS/disk structure so you can't use another DOS to look at it. Allan
+Allan #11 Posted February 18, 2016 I found this on the web " FILE UTILITY — Letter Perfect uses a proprietary DOS which is not directly com- patible with the Atari DOS. The directory starts in sector 363 in UK DOS instead of in sector 361 as with Atari DOS. The VTOC starts in 362 instead of 361 as in Atari DOS. The FILE UTILITY by LJK is a translation utility which will allow you to make Atari DOS text files from Letter Perfect files. LJK Enterprises. " Maybe the second disk are Letter Perfect files?
