Is there a possibility of creating a Hollex or Cuttle Cart type thingie for the ST?

Is there a possibility of creating  a Hollex or Cuttle Cart type thingie for the ST?

 

Why? Just use DS/DD floppy disks. Much cheaper and available at Atari dealers and major office supply webstores (Staples, etc.). ST Games don't use the cartridge port, and 3 1/2" DS/DD floppies are much easier to find than 5 1/4" floppies.

 

I'd rather see hardware hackers' efforts go into more useful products like a USB, Firewire and/or SCSI adapters.
