Last look at Jaguar games development.

 

Ted was kind enough to detail just why likes of Kasumi Ninja etc turned out the way they did and the decisions Atari made regarding getting titles out there.

As for Uncle Oswald's Invention....no that was a complete unknown to myself, even when working on the Q's for Ted, came out of nowhere (and again, it's finds like these that make the interviews worth doing, you simply never know what your going to get in response...)

 

There's not much more i can shed on it at this time (respecting Ted's wishes here) but there's a very slim chance that just might change in the future, but it'd require a lot more in terms of time etc on part of Ted and myself, so sadly i cannot promise anything.

There was a character animation program for Uncle Oswald on one of the Jaguar Extremist Pack. I don't think there was enough to really indicate what it was about though.

 

Would've been cool to hear more about Oswald or Legions (state of completion, reason for cancelling .etc).

Many of the teams that worked on the early Jaguar games were coming

from the handheld Lynx development which had a vastly different
development environment and graphical expectations. The Jaguar was
jumping into the 64 bit deep end of the pool without learning how
to swim first. Getting Lynx titles out the door was important, but
it wasn’t critical like it was when the Jaguar hit the market.

Cool, maybe this is the reason that lynx game releases pretty much dried up around 1993 - all lynx development talent was re-allocated to supporting the Jaguar.

According to the Uncle Art kickstarter, Skylar's voice was Victoria Lowe, the wife of Dave Lowe (Uncle Art) who is known from Atari ST/Amiga music like IK+, AfterBurner and StarGlider.
