+David_P
Mine arrived today (well, yesterday, but I had to sign for it at the post office today). Now to choose one of my 800xls (RAMBO? CSS translator OS (switchable)? U1Mb? Stock?), clear some space, and have fun!

Beetle
I ordered the upgrade in order to fix my broken 600XL-based Laptop. As far as i understand it, Antonia replaces all interal memory using extsel signal. Is it correct to assume that i can remove the on-board memory 4464 chips and the 74LS158 multiplexer TTL chips when Antonia is installed? I would like to remove every unnessecary source of problems - and every not needed component that sucks energy from my batteries. Simius
Yes, you can. Also OS ROM and BASIC ROM. Edited June 29, 2016 by Simius

+mytek
Mine arrived yesterday. Thank you Simius. Now I just need to wait for UAV's to become available once again and then I'll start work on my 600XL. - Michael Edited June 29, 2016 by mytekcontrols

dabone
Ok, so mine arrived this week, just a board and a cable in a box. No docs, no links to an install guide or software. I'm new to the world of atari's, growing up as a Commodore user, so I don't have the chips memorized when people in the thread are talking about sally and the mmu. My Atari collection consists of the 1 130xe I'm installing this in, and I guess I need to pull out the CO14806 , and the CO661618? And on the new board , which is pin 1 for the cable? Thanks. Simius
All you need you'll find in this thread. How to install in the 130XE is shown in the first post. Configurator/flasher is here: http://drac030.krap.pl/ant.zip Description (for now in Polish): http://atariki.krap.pl/index.php/Antonia_4_MB You've right. You need to remove these two IC's. Pin 1 of the ribbon cable connector is lower-left. It is easy to recognize, because the pad on the PCB is rectangular. 1050
Got both of mine in fine shape, thanks much. Wish I had ordered enough spare time to install at least one of them now, where is that thread?
Simius
If I knew, where, I'd buy for myself.
tuf
I've got a 1200XL I'd like to install one in. I read this will require the XE version? Mine is NTSC. Also will the 1200/XE version work in an 800XL if I decide later to move it? If still available I'd like to purchase. Thanks!

dwmcqueen
I'd also like this. Anyone do this on a XEGS?
Simius
Operation in XEGS is possible, but without Missile Command game. Edited July 11, 2016 by Simius

dabone
Ok, I got mine installed this evening, setup as a rambo xl. And the only problem I'm seeing is it takes a long time for ram to clear after power off. Like over a minute. So I load a game, turn off the power, wait 5 or so and turn it back on, the game is still there. Wait a little longer, and machine has garbage as the ram is partially cleared, etc. Later, dabone
Dmitry
I should mention I have also received mine. And in a year or maybe 4, I'll install it too.
Brentarian
I should mention I have also received mine. And in a year or maybe 4, I'll install it too.Give it a try! It took longer for me to remove the shielding than to install it.
dabone
Is anyone else having my issue of the ram not clearing with a power cycle?
sanny
I installed mine today and it works great! Is anyone else having my issue of the ram not clearing with a power cycle? I saw an issue, I didn't check it more, it's already late over here. I had booted into BASIC and wanted to enter the self test. So I turned the computer off, waited 2 to 3 seconds, and turned it back on again, while holding "option". But I was in BASIC again. Turned it off longer (don't remember, 10 to 15 secs), and then the "option" key worked.
dabone
Hey Simius, is it normal for the ram not to be cleared on a cold boot, or have I done something wrong?
