Pitfall II trouble

The tunnels are so dark I can't see the bats flying by. (or , after just looking at the box, the bats aren't light enough)

Do you think this is the cartridge or the console? All my other cartridges work fine.

 

I tried cleaning the contacts several times. I'm about ready to bust out my sealed copy of Pitfall II so I can play.

What sort of TV/display do you use that has no provision for changing the brightness? Seems like it's gotta be there somewhere.

It's an off brand CRT tv and I didn't get a remote control with it.

 

I just found the menu. I had to press both volume buttons at the same time but I didn't find brightness.

I'll play with it some more.

You should try to get a universal remote. The cheap ones go for less than $5.

Or tell us the exact name and model of tv and we can louk it up.

I found it! I had to turn the brightness way up to make the bats visible. I think it goes to about 30 and I had to put it on 25.
