Preparing a 35 years anniversary for the TI-99/4a

On June 30th 1981 the TI-99/4a was announced on the CES in Chicago.

This means on June 30th 2006 our beloved computer will become 35 years old.

 

Let's collect ideas to celebrate this date within your usergroup, within the internet, and with your computers.

 

* in advance: advanced cleaning of all your units, so they are in pristine condition for the celebration

* in advance: doing a Demo Contest with the anniversary as the topic

* hoping for a cake from Sandra on the actual day

* special usergroup meeting

I've always wondered this myself, and I tend the same way, but why don't we count the 99/4 when we talk about the release of our system? It's practically the same computer...

with this approach we can celebrate twice, so for our current year 2016 the year 1981 suits better
