Commodore 1551 Disk Drive 220 volts

Hello to all,

 

I would like to know if I may replace 220 volts internal power supply on 1551 from 1541 disk drive 110 volts internal power supply. Will it work on 1551 disk drive if replace for 110 volts ? Please let me know if it will work ?

Yes, it is supposed to be painless. However some people worry about the value of the 1551 after you swapped power supply. Done nicely, you might be able to revert it in case you're going to sell it for $$$ later on.

Yes, I had the 1551 which I brought back from England modded to take the North American p.s., and it works perfectly.

Is possible for you to take a picture inside 1551 with PS 110 volts ?

I undy, it also need to change from 250 volts fuse to 130 (?) volts fuse ?

Same 3 or 4 plugs inside on both 1551&1541 ? Thank you ...
