MantaNZ #1 Posted March 2, 2016 So I don't want to fry my Jag CD. I bought a 240-115v 0-50watt stepdown transformer from Jaycar in NZ. http://www.jaycar.co.nz/Power-Products-Electrical/Power-Conversion-%26-Transformation/AC-AC-Transformers/50VA-240VAC-to-115VAC-Stepdown-Transformer/p/MF1091 It's the exact same one I run my Jag console with. Will it be safe to use for the Jag CD too? Should have asked before purchasing... lol.
Serblander #2 Posted March 3, 2016 Two things: 1) I think you meant to post this in the Jaguar Forum 2) That is the same stepdown converter is use for my NUON's and its the best stepdown converter i have (of the 4 i own)! Not tried it on the Jag or Jag CD Add-On as i use an international adapter/PSU from Dick Smith that does 100-240V range for AU $

+Stephen Moss #4 Posted March 3, 2016 As the same power unit is used for both the Jaguar and Jaguar CD if it workd for your Jaguar I cannot see any obvious reason why it would not work for the Jaguar CD unit as well.

Yeah I didn't realise that. Thought it might have drawn more current.
