SX64 problem - please help!

Recommended Posts

I bought an SX64 that "worked the last time it was used". The disk drive light turns on for a second and the screen turns on but remains blank (no text/characters on the screen).

Any ideas how I could fix?

Thank you!

A lot of the chips inside SX are socketed. Check and reseat them all, and make sure the IO card is still plugged into CPU card. If you still get blank screen, a chip may have gotten damaged somewhere.

Taking apart SX is fairly easy. Putting it back together, especially if you removed the CPU and IO card can be a pain in the butt.
