DIY SIO2PC Question

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I am getting ready to put together a DIY SIO2PC for my Atari 400, but I have a question. I grabbed female-female connectors from eBay to fit the pins on the FTDI, but they don't fit on the SIO pins on my Atari. What size of connector do I need to fit on the SIO pins so I can wire it to the FTDI?

Thanks!

The Atari SIO connector is an obsolete proprietary format that is not commonly available. Lotharek in Poland has a source he uses for his devices, but most people end up using cables salvaged from dead or obsolete peripherals (like program recorders and dot matrix printers, etc).

Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply! I'll have to see if I can hunt something down then.

Thank you for the link!

If it's about functionality in stead of aesthetics, wire it up internally.

I definitely want to keep it stock, so I want an external solution. Thanks for the suggestion though!
