Decathlon crashes on 6-switch 2600 ?

Recommended Posts

Don´t know why this happens :

Decathlon - which works fine on a 2600jr or a 2600 with 4 switches - crashes on a 6-switch 2600 the same way as on a 7800 :

You see the game for about 1 second and then a black screen.

This isn´t just one cart , all my Decathlon carts don´t work.I know that this game is incompatible to the 7800 , but why does it not work with an old 6-switch 2600 system ?

This is the SALU /HES reproduction , PAL , of the game.Did they change something ? All my systems are PAL ...

On the 7800 no Decathlon carts will work , not the Salu version, not the Activision PAL , not the NTSC version.

Is this a problem of the game or something wrong with the console ?

Thimo

I have hear in the past, that there exist different versions from the 7800er. On the most versions this game don't work, and some others too not. I think Space Shuttle has too some problems on this console.

So it has something to do with the console, that it don't emulate the Atari 2600 perfect. :D

Don't know why this happen.

I have a PAL 6-switcher and Decathlon runs fine. My copy is the original picture label one, though - I've got Enduro and Frostbite in Salu and I often have problems just getting those buggers to even run when I turn the machine on. I think it must be a Salu thing.
