madhatter667 #26 Posted April 18, 2016 I posted up pics of my NES stuff in the "Show Us Your Collection" section. Feel free to check it out for grins. I recommend most titles shown, as they are what I kept after shrinking the collection down. Lol.

Austin #31 Posted April 27, 2016 Quarth is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. Shame we never got the Famicom version over here. At least we got the Game Boy one.
Trinity #32 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Quarth is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. Shame we never got the Famicom version over here. At least we got the Game Boy one. Last week I bought one of these Super Game 400-in-1 cartridge's on Ebay. And it includes Quarth along with a bunch of games never released on the NES. When I saw it had Galaga, Galaxian, Defender 2, Joust, Dig Dug, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong 1,2,3, Pac Man, And Pinball, I put my money down! Plus it has a lot of other cool games. What a great way to play the Famicom game versions on NES! I posted this ebay link because of the legible game list. It can be had for less money. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400-in-1-nintendo-nes-games-multi-cart-snow-brothers-darkwing-duck-bubble-bobble-/322086551687?hash=item4afddac087:g:NBIAAOSwxcRW9opR Edited April 27, 2016 by Trinity
madhatter667 #33 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Yup, Famicom ROMs on 72 pin board. Not the worst way to get some of games for cheap. I've got about 5 multicarts. One "111 in 1" that came with one of my clones, an older "110 in 1" that has some pretty good titles on it, a "6 in 1" that I bought because it had Bubble Bobble Part 2, and a "4 in 1" just because it had Mighty Final Fight. Those are all Famicom. I have one NES multicart, a "260 in 1" which really isn't bad. While it has many of the same titles as the 100-something in 1 carts, it's pretty good when I don't want to switch systems. Lol. Older NES multicarts were harder to find than the Famicom counterparts. Took a little bit to catch up I guess. Lol. Hey, they've gotten better at making labels too. All fun and games. That link has some good titles in it. If it has all 4 Adventure Islands, that's nice just in itself (4 not released in USA). Turtles 1-3 should be the official NES releases, 4 should be the pirate port of Tournament Fighters. This multi lists Mighty Final Fight, and Bubble Bobble 2, both of which are stupid expensive as original carts, Double Dragon 1-3 should be the official releases, 4 should be a ROM hack of Target: Renegade. Galaxian is a good port, wasn't released here in the US, Galaga is just a great title, the "Ninja" games should be the various Ninja-Kun games, and are quite fun. Dig Dug 2 is more fun than Dig Dug. Tetris 2, SMB + a bunch of Mario hacks (which some people collect on their own), DK games, Flipull, Gradius, Kings Knight, Final Mission. Pretty good list. It does look like it suffers a bit from whomever put the list together either not fully understanding the language, or not fully knowing the games... so you'll have to go through some of them to figure out which is which. Not the worst multicart list I've seen. Edited April 27, 2016 by madhatter667
R.Cade #34 Posted April 27, 2016 You can get those carts for a lot less than that eBay price on AliExpress.com. Takes a few weeks to deliver, but it's 1/4 the price. I am sure that's where the sellers got them...
madhatter667 #35 Posted April 27, 2016 The multi-repros/pirates are around. If you live in WA, forget about Ali-Express. They owe this state taxes, and if your payment source has a billing address in WA, it will be rejected. Big sad face on that one, as it's also a decent source for other knick-knacks (cart shells, knives, gadgets). Just a heads up if you happen to live out here. Big sad face for that. Wow...not quite sure how I feel about this one... It seems wrong for a state government to be restricting trade with any individual company based on taxes, especially a trading company like Alibaba based in China. I know it happens though. We have some pretty ridiculous laws here in the deep south about what can and can't be ordered through the mail. Beer, wine, and certain adult items come to mind; not that I'm interested in any of those items... I did recently order some gaming items from Ali-Express for the first time however and would have been sad / angry if they had rejected my order based on address. Trinity #37 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) So with the 400 in 1 game I bought i while ago I noticed Galaxian only runs for 8 minutes no matter what. Does anyone have a link to one that has a working rom that will work in my toaster? Edited May 30, 2016 by Trinity
Trinity #38 Posted June 1, 2016 Bump, I love the game. Help please.
Great Hierophant #39 Posted June 2, 2016 Are you looking for a working ROM dump or a reproduction cartridge for Galaxian? If the former, you need the "overdumped" 24KB ROM (a real Galaxian cartridge is only 16KB). If the latter, search for Galaxian NES Reproduction.

MotoRacer #41 Posted June 2, 2016 Really happy for you! I'm getting back into older consoles again, myself. I missed them and emulation wasn't the same. Can't wait t post my modest setup once it's done. In the meantime, have fun with your new nes. What games do you want in the future?

MotoRacer #44 Posted June 3, 2016 Yeah, Post a picture or two here when you get it set up. Super Mario Brothers 3. And I'll be set for a while. I have limited space, so I have my setup on one single IT cart. I think it's pretty impressive how much I've been able to get on there, to be honest. I had to make some custom shelving and storage, but it works. I have it all connected to a 14" Sony HR Trinitron PVM.
