Allen Microware PrintWiz - Good copy?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a copy of PrintWiz that works 100%. The one on AtariMania does not allow you to load the supplemental programs on the disk (GRLOD, LISTER, etc), but does work for general screen dumps.

I can't even find a copy for sale and have been looking for months. O.o

Anyone?

There is an ATR available on the pigwa FTP site, in the Holmes CD collection. I don't know whether it will be any better for you than the one on Atarimania.

http://ftp.pigwa.net/stuff/collections/holmes%20cd/Holmes%201/ATR%20Programs/Applications%20A-Z/

It is also listed as available from B&C/myatari.com

ATD486 PRINTWIZ 26.95

Not sure how I missed that at B&C. Thx. The other copies are the same. I think it was copy protected and it needs to be ATX or cracked. Anyone have one that can be imaged?

I got one recently off eBay. Seems to work. Does not have nearly as many options as Magniprint II+ I Got that magniprint from ebay but it went bad after a couple of reads before I could copy it with my BitWriter. I also know about the Pro image in the Pigwa ftp but when you're trying to hook up a printer and one or two 1050s, an original floppy would be better. Will probably start a thread to see if someone has magniprint

The problem with the image on the net is when you go to DOS (it uses a custom DOS), it can't see any of the files and DIR reports 000 sectors. As such, you can't load the basic files from the BASIC prompt (error 170 file not found). I've emailed Bruce about purchase. Any chance you can make a good image?

I'll send you a PM
