oilswell-box.jpg

You're rich. . . maybe.

Geologists have just located one of the largest oil deposits in North America, on your land !.

But you have to get it out of the ground before you can spend it.

The other oil barons are jealous, and they would do anything to sabotage your operation.

They have planted oozies and land mines in your oil fields to wreck your drilling equipment.

Don't let them cheat you out of your millions !.

The weird "High Score" appears to be the fault of the emulator I was using. It's one called "Bee". I tried the same rom on a few other Coleco emulators and it didn't do it.

That's the odd thing about emulators. I remember using some Colecovision emulator on a computer years ago, and it would NOT play the Smurf game at all, and it crashed when you beat the first level of Popeye. After that, I refused to use emulators on a computer. If you emulate on the Wii at all, I recommend WiiColem; otherwise, use a Colecovision itself or Colecovision Flashback if you don't emulate.

Edit: Both Popeye and Smurf Rescue work just fine on WiiColEm, by the way.

This is the only game I've ever had a problem with using Bee. And it didn't effect the game play at all, just the High Score display. Yeah, I could use my ADAM or ColecoVision, but it's just more convenient to emulate on my PC.

this game is really fun & I love Anteater

my one complaint! ==> Oil's well does not let you back up, that's awful in my opinion!

all you can do is retract the probe very quickly using the button but you can't just back up at normal speed like in anteater. the touchiness of turns makes it feel kind of unfair not to let you back up so this IMO takes a little away from the quality of Oil's Well overall & the reason why i had a frustrating experience with this game.

props, Dugger that's a hardcore score !!

response to MangiaBoy: Oil's Well is very difficult to play anyway!

[edit - p.s. I never did get bee to work for me at all. BlueMSX the only one that ever works for me, It's kinda confusing to use but emulates very well.]
