+save2600
Groovy! Too bad not more is known about it. If I were to guess, seems more like a fancy trivia machine than anything. Multiple choice answers for the questions that are selectable via that wheel maybe? Trivia was big back then and could see different cartridges representing different topics such as sports, science, history, etc. Not unlike how that little 2-XL Robot worked with 8-Track cartridges, then cassette tapes later. godslabrat
Nice. But the vagueness of Sony in what it was supposed to do makes me wonder if even they know what it really is. Most likely everyone who worked on it left the company a long time ago.
privateers69
More than likely it is a quiz machine, but that it hooks up to the tv instead of a stand alone 2-XL
cimerians
Almost looks like a fairchild....probably would have played paddle like pong games with that knob. Radio Shack, Sears and just about everyone was in on the TV Pong craze in the 70's. Not sure what that slot would be, cartridges.......punch cards. lol
jbone09
It looks like something that you'd use for your time-card at work. Very interesting color scheme; it could have used some wood finish IMO.
