Pepsi plastic cap = vic 20

I remember when I was young there were a contest to win a vic 20. You had to collect all plastic cap VIC 20.

Some one has more I fo or want those cap?

Cool! That is something I've never heard of before, but I live at the other half of the planet. Were you supposed to have five different ones so you could spell "VIC20", then send them in and hope you'd win?

Apparently Ghislain de Blois (homebrew developer) got his first VIC through this contest. He wrote that the "C=" cap was the hardest to find.

I do not recall that specific contest, but there were many like it in the early-1980s. Invariably, one specific letter or game-piece would be nearly impossible to find.

 

I won some small amounts of money from these lid liners (e.g. $.25), but never any of the big prizes.

My brother won an Amiga 500 in a cereal box contest in 1986. He had to draw a picture of the future and write a small story about it. Never thought he would have had a chance so when it showed up on our doorstep we were all shocked. Wore that A500 out playing games till the mid 90s.
