AtariGeezer
This is what I've been working on: CEMC-B.WRK.txt Remove .txt extension... It's a Dis6502 workbook file. As you will see everything from $A000 to $AFFF isn't referenced anywhere in the cart. What little bit of the Basic interpreter words aren't used either. It looks more like patched code, which isn't complete. There are calls in the $BD6x range, but this data segment is just filled with 0's... Three bytes from $BFF6 to $BFF8 are written to in the code, so unless there is additional hardware in the cart which changes banks or something, it's a useless bit of code. Serpentor
is...anyone actually going to disassemble the cart? -Thom It's a very rare cart, so unfortunately I am unable to help with viewing the board. I would if it used a screw to hold it together, but it appears to be a snap-type assembly. I don't want to risk breaking it.
tschak909
Actually, I was referring to somebody disassembling the binary and seeing what format the data needs to be in. -Thom
Savetz
@swlovinist lent me his copy of this cart, which I have dumped. It is the "Ind" version. On the actual Atari, it shows the attached screen then makes the cassette beep noise. I dumped it using Jindroush Cartridge Dumper, which makes a 16K dump, but I can't figure out how to slice and dice it make it work in an emulator. Help? -Kevin classware16.bin
ndary
Hi Kevin, the cartridge image looks ok, it probably came with a floppy that contain software/code in BASIC XL, that is require to load and the Basic program is the actual software, the cart can be a version of Basic XL that call the software on floppy to run automtically
Savetz
Here's a fresh dump of my cart, with the SIO2SD stuff that may clobber some memory disabled. I don't know if it helps or changes anything but there it is. classware.bin -Kevin
+Allan
Another one of these Classware carts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mint-Condition-Vintage-Atari-800XL-1984-Olympics-Home-Computer/163969605946?hash=item262d59a13a:g:598AAOSwgFpd4-bs Still no sign of any disk software for it or any info on the company (other than OSS).
