Percom Diskette Included with New Drives?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have an image of the ORIGINAL diskette included with a Percom Drive? Next best would be the sample programs included on that disk. I think the disk had among other things some version of OSA+ that was included to allow the user to do double density with the drive. I've had several Percom drives over the years, but they were all purchased used and had no disk.

Thanks,

Larry

The first drive for my Atari 800 back bought back in early 1983 was a Percom SS/SD full height drive. I still have the DOS disk, "Optimized System Software, Inc. OS/A+ (Version 2), For Percom Data Co. Disk Drives & ATARI Computers ®, ©1982 OSS, Inc."

An aside: The controller could drive two drives, so in the 1990s I hooked it up to two half-height IBM drives for awhile (precariously balanced as I recall). Someday I need to go back and reassemble the drive with the original mechanism.

Edit: Added atr for that disk.

Thanks very much! I do appreciate you taking the time to make the ATR of that disk.

I still have a Percom which has two half-height Tandon's in it, in place of the original full-height drive. I mostly used this pair of drives with an ATR8000 (without using the Percom controller).

Used to have the master/slave setup of these drives... Wish I had of never sold them and never knew you could do 2 half height drives in one.. That would have been slick!
