cbmeeks #1 Posted May 12, 2016 I'm trying to talk myself into buying an F18a. Is there a selection of games that require it? Or new ones in development? Colecovision games could be included in that list but I was trying to stay on topic. Thanks.
Iwantgames:) #2 Posted May 12, 2016 There's a few that have better graphics if you have the F18A but I don't think there's any that require it to play yet.
+save2600 #3 Posted May 12, 2016 Isn't Super Mario Bros. F18a only (as in requires it, not just enhance) so far? There's at least one game if not I thought, but think it's SMB.
Omega-TI #4 Posted May 12, 2016 There's a few that have better graphics if you have the F18A but I don't think there's any that require it to play yet. To the best of my knowledge, there is: 1) Alex Kidd 2) TI-Scramble I believe both of them detect the F18A and enhance the game. Rasmus is working on a racing game called Formula 18A But of course EVERYTHING looks better on an F18A. Crisp and clean beats fuzzy or muddy any day of the week.

I overlooked that one as I've not really been keeping track anymore Super Mario is really a game!

I wanna say bouncy does too but I can't remember
Omega-TI #7 Posted May 12, 2016 Of course crisp and clean graphics, and enhanced games are not the only reason, there is also the 80 column capability in programs like the 9640 Menu System, the Modified BA-Writer, the hack for Multiplan and of course TIMXT's 80 column ANSI graphics if you ever want to call Heatwave BBS. The F18A is the #1 modification for the TI.

+Lee Stewart #10 Posted May 12, 2016 Crap! I apologize! I've overlooked that before, it'll never happen again! No worries! We all know Forth is not the most popular language around here—which is not for lack of trying by a jaded few! ...lee
jstimson #11 Posted May 12, 2016 And let's not forget another large enhancement for everyday use.... more than 4 sprites on a horizontal line. No more disappearing or flickering sprites!
+Schmitzi #12 Posted May 14, 2016 Hi, and not to forget, there is the F18A-software-thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/216855-f18a-80-column-enhanced-graphics-supported-programs/ and a (at the moment not so perfect ) list: F18A - 80 Column & Enhanced Graphics Supported Programs (coming from HERE )
Asmusr #13 Posted May 14, 2016 Titanium and sabre wulf do as well. I wanna say bouncy does too but I can't remember Titanium is faster on an F18A. Sabre Wulf has an enhanced color mode. Bouncy has no special F18A features.
