+Propane13 #1 Posted May 17, 2016 Hey folks, I found this video from 2014: Any idea who is working on this? Is this a demake, or does this potentially work on real 2600 hardware (seems it may be real)? I don't believe the music to be real, but then again, I've been wrong before. I haven't seen anything about this, so maybe someone knows more than me. -John
Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted May 17, 2016 Look like a demake to me. To many sprites with no flicker.
+Propane13 #3 Posted May 17, 2016 I've been surprised before, so thanks for commenting. These days, I'm less certain of what Stella can do to hide sprite flicker, so I figured I'd ask. The cool part about this demo is that I would say that some of these scenes do seem feasible to implement on 2600 hardware.
Thomas Jentzsch #4 Posted May 17, 2016 Yes, the demake is not that far away from what's possible.
CPUWIZ #5 Posted May 17, 2016 That demo was written by AA user djmips, but it was many more years ago. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/146735-mega-man-2600-demo-game-binary/ It requires a SARA to run.
Thomas Jentzsch #6 Posted May 17, 2016 Not the same.
CPUWIZ #7 Posted May 17, 2016 I didn't click on the video. Character looked the same. Heh.
Jinroh #8 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) I was initially fooled until I read the comment section some years ago. :/ No fair getting my hopes up initially. Edited May 19, 2016 by Jinroh
