LIST OF MISSING / UNDUMPED SOFTWARE

Recommended Posts

DjayBee, Music I and III were also re-released by Sunburst Communications (but, it seems, not the second part!).

Hope we can find another Targets if our copy is broken, we'll update our database accordingly.

I'm unable to check this right now but, IIRC, the APX releases of MECC programs come unprotected and have a specific DISKNAME.DAT file. The Atari versions don't have it and are protected.

Actually the APX releases of the MECC programs were copy-protected as well. They are the only APX titles that had any copy-protection.

Tempest, don't worry, everything will be shared.

I stand corrected on the APX protection bit.

Was My First Alphabet Graphics Editor ever released? Never even heard of it before!

Fletch, thanks a bunch, your tapes definitely need to be archived! BTW, do you still have any of the Econosoft titles?

If you boot the APX version of My First Alphabet, you'll see the menu item for it, which says to "Insert Disk 2."

The manual states that you'll need to purchase APX-20085 for it to work.

Hmmm,

think I have an APX (disk) version of Kangaroo somewhere that is also copy-protected. It works fine on 400/800 and XL/XE, whereas the cart. version only works on 400/800...

This is the first I've seen this. I even scanned the manual but never read it. Thanks Thom. Now we have another APX title to hunt down.

I don't think you have PL65 by Noahsoft on that list? It's listed as "dump missing" on Atarimania.

I'm pretty sure there's a .PRO dump on an AA thread somewhere. I dumped it several years ago when I had an SIO2PC and uploaded it so that others could try removing the copy protection from it.

Edit: If you haven't got the original dump, it's on this thread ... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/99886-how-do-i-use-vapi/?hl=pl65&do=findComment&comment=1211563

I asked Fernando about this today.

Fernando.said: "WOW Thanks Kevin for the memories. That was almost 35 years ago. There was a lot stuff going on around My First Alphabet. But I don't recall "My First Alphabet Graphics Editor" At some point I sold all the rights to Atari. They were marketing on the schools Perhaps they intended to add the graphics editor."

Though that seems inaccurate to me, it seems to me based on the manual and would-be APX catalog number that it was an early idea to have a graphics editor that was dropped. Not the other way around.

I sent mine out to be dumped this week (mine is a tape). I'd hope that AtariMania would share the tape file with you, no need to keep it all on one site.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I'm less concerned about cassettes since those can easily be dumped.

I don't think the Atarimania team currently has access to the same disk dumping hardware that we do so original disks are better to send to us.

Okay, here's Enhancements to BASIC Version II (First Byte)

Enhancements to BASIC Version II (First Byte).ATR

I changed the Registered User to Max Power instead of the guy who I bought these from.

Last night I finished imaging 138 ATR's from a lot that I bought 2 years ago and forgot I hadn't imaged those yet.

After looking through them, I'm pretty sure I have some other unseen titles too, I'll upload when verified :)

I got this to run with sdx447 as the DOS, but it acts like Turbobasic and scrambles the screen display until it is loaded. And loading a basic programs some screen flashing, but settles down after running the basic program. And the SELECT key option is the only option that has a HELP screen.

DOS 2.0 and MyDos does not have the screen glitter. Some nice basic enhancements.

I've just completed my first Atari 8-bit type-in (yay!)

Uploaded here, this is from C+VG. There seems to be a lot of untyped listings from that mag that are listed as missing at Atarimania.

It's "Wordfind". Some Hangman knock-off.

http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-wordfind_16993.html

Thanks for typing this. I just added it to the database.
