AViD (Adam Virtual Device)

Recommended Posts

Dude! This is awesome! A huge milestone! Great job MilliV, you are a true assert to the CV/ADAM community! I look forward to how this will flesh out, and to using this solution myself! Please let me know if you need a beta-tester.

Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I figure there will be a new generation of programmers that will result if cross-development can be made a lot simpler, and information can be accessed a lot easier (Milli's Adam wiki?)

I am shocked there are not more replies to this incredible breakthrough. Just had to post again to show my enthusiasm! The potential here is astounding… possibilities of mounting a virtual disk image that resides on your ol PC means that we can run all the images from NIAD's archive, media-free! I'd love to see the ability to transfer imgs to the CF card hard drive and run them from a modified OS.

He MilliV... just wanted to pass along my feeling of excitement over this project as well as the other software that you are working on. As phattyboombatty stated, I would be honored to beta test AViD for you if and when the need arises and Joe B. would be another good choice with his knowledge of the system.

I think you mentioned you were testing on Windows 7...will this run on XP?

I am going to be testing it on XP, Win7 and Win 10 - right now the test code is running in a dos window on windows 7 (freebasic) but I will eventually move it to a windows gui program when I get closer
