I am shocked there are not more replies to this incredible breakthrough. Just had to post again to show my enthusiasm! The potential here is astounding… possibilities of mounting a virtual disk image that resides on your ol PC means that we can run all the images from NIAD's archive, media-free! I'd love to see the ability to transfer imgs to the CF card hard drive and run them from a modified OS.

As phattyboombatty stated, I would be honored to beta test AViD for you if and when the need arises and Joe B. would be another good choice with his knowledge of the system.

I had thought about it - but I wont be able to attend it unfortunately - I may have it ready by then though

I think you mentioned you were testing on Windows 7...will this run on XP?

I am going to be testing it on XP, Win7 and Win 10 - right now the test code is running in a dos window on windows 7 (freebasic) but I will eventually move it to a windows gui program when I get closer
