But a collector would not even play at once, to keep it pristine… Or at least not admit to having played it which would decrease its value, apparently.

I just have a hard time understanding how someone, ordering what they full well know to be Pac-Man, would give this only one play and decide that somehow, it doesn't meet expectations. At least give the extra 20 levels a try, play with a few options, and see then?
