Honestly I don't really care about anyone on any of the other forums here, so I didn't feel right posting in "Off Topic" (even though it WOULD be a wider audience)

 

Don't you always roll your eyes when someone talks about the "novel" they are "writing"? You know the types, blathering endlessly about plots and ideas and never actually doing anything... well, those guys annoy me too.

 

Which is why I haven't talked to anyone about this anywhere I visit until I knew damn well I was not one of those kinds of guys!

Here's a link better explaining what this book and the series are. for giggles I think Jessica's mother is going to bust out with an Intellivision in book two. she's going to get them a house, and I think it'll be funny if she sticks one up front and center in the livingroom.

Eh. It's the name of his detective agency. it means, basically, "to accept what life has done to you, stoically".

 

It'll be named "Dog and Spider Private Investigations" by the middle of book 2, which I'm already 40 pages into writing.

Lol. The editor I had was... honestly pretty craptacular. She originally added like 5 thousand words to it, tying off what she called "loose ends" and telling me "Harlequin does not 'do' sequels" and they wanted rights to my characters. I informed them that meant they weren't "doing" my book, and ended up having to go back to an earlier manuscript. I don't think too many errors, other than stylistic choices, got through, but it's hard to edit your own stuff.

also: almsot cracked the top 25 in "sales" Once we do that, Amazon will automatically promote the book on it's own, transferring into real "sales" in the coming weeks.
