Milli V #1 Posted June 2, 2016 I was working on a an Adam today and cam across this under 2 of the Smart writer roms. I looked in a Expansion #3 and it had 1 under a rom. On Facebvook we cant figure out what it is
+5-11under #2 Posted June 2, 2016 I only have a guess: a capacitor (or two). I don't know what else it would be.
NIAD #3 Posted June 3, 2016 That is a question that has been asked and asked and asked again over the last 30+ years and I don't recall ever hearing/seeing an answer. I have only seen them in the U## sockets used for the SmartWriter rom chips, but they may have been used in the EOS rom chip socket as well. Hopefully this age old question can finally be answered by someone like Rey or Adamcon.
Milli V #4 Posted June 3, 2016 On FaceBook one person said this: "If it is ROM then I would strongly suspect a capacitor, and it fits the look of a power plane capacitor."

Rey #7 Posted June 3, 2016 Think I should remove one of those again and take a good look, perhaps do some testing.
