FYI, I'm an Atari and Intellivision fan. When I signed on here I had no idea there was an Intellivision forum. Nothing like getting the best of both worlds!

LOVE IT, but a super tough game for sure and need to hone my fielding skills! Was great when younger and used to play with my friends BITD. Today, I kinda wish when I continually press the wrong fielder, that it would automatically drop down to the next guy. You know… when you accidentally press 2 for Center when you really want the 2nd baseman. But press 2 again in rapid succession and it goes to 2nd base, etc. haha Appreciate the challenge though and glad David decided to release this now.

And *still* a huge fan of Mattel's Super Challenge Baseball for the 2600. In fact, even to this day, can field better using a joystick and its step method of choosing fielders and bases. Now if only *that* game was tweaked to allow single player vs. computer - I'd be in classic video game heaven!

Yes. At the title screen, press 3 (instead of 1 or 2) to have the computer manage both teams.

Try changing your nickname to save2609. After that I'm pretty sure you will not like the Atari joystick anymore

Had a chance to play last night and love the update! My baseball skills are rusty and the challenge is more difficult so I lost the first game quite handily (12-1). I was doubled up several times because I'm used to taking off with the pitch. The increase in fly balls is going to force me to modify my baserunning habits I had also forgotten that you can "run through" first base or slide into the others so I was getting thrown out more than I should have.

 

An awesome update to what was already one of my favorite games! I would gladly purchase a box, label, etc when they become available.

Baseball has always been one of my favorites, so I was psyched up when David announced he was updating WCB. He'd done a fantastic job, and I can't wait to play it with my friend who's been beating me at it since 1980.

Had my first glitch with SPB. I was playing on the Ultimate Flashback and all at once the screen went solid field color green, Simple return to front-end and restart and I was good to go. Also what size triangle screwdriver does one need to remove those triangle head screws on the Mattel carts?

Just to confirm... this happened when playing the ROM file?

If it's with the game board, try re-seating the game a couple of times, to see if that helps.

Yes, this happened on the UFB with the ROM file. Have not played the board yet as I haven't found a shell for it yet.

It happen with the game board in the middle of

One game. I reseated the cartridge and played another game. I finished that game.

Haven't played another game since.

So not sure if it was that or a bug.

Damn! Just finished playing my first game and man is that tough and wow do those pitches come fast. 😱 I was leading 15-7 going into the top of the ninth and managed to give up 11 runs in the top half and lost 18-16. Lol. I can't remember the last time I lost at Baseball on the Inty. Very nice challenge you've given us David. I look forward to whipping the computer's ass over the holidays.

Yes. I hope to have a bunch ready before Christmas. There is no need to flood me with requests as yet though. I will let everyone know when they are available in this thread. I'd rather let David work on sending the boards out to everyone without getting in his way.

 

Any update on these boxes, or any others you might have done, like Blix, or Mystic Castle?
