Austin #926 Posted November 6, 2017 You're right, of course. I'm ashamed of myself, and will be playing Supercross 3D during the next hour as a punishment. Really, no Checkered Flag? You really should be ashamed then.
PlaysWithWolves #927 Posted November 6, 2017 Three hours of sleep, so... idle hands/devil's workshop, and all that. No, I'm not serious about these. Well, except for the second design which I like so much I may just IndieGoGo that stuff and make a friggin' mint... err, I mean for the good of the community. #TheHomerRules

Greg2600 #929 Posted November 6, 2017 Hi all. New here. This project sounds awesome! Sooo any advice on where to pick up a Jaguar? (besides eBay..) indie/class game stores normally have one or two. not cheap anymore.
TDIRunner #930 Posted November 6, 2017 A 3D printed case doesn't bother me one bit. I've been very happy with the quality of the case on the Neo Geo SD flash cart. With that being said, I would prefer the screws to be on the back so that you can open the case without screwing up the label. That's just my preference. I'm down for buying one regardless of the case.
Judas-Prime #931 Posted November 7, 2017 Case or no case, I don't care. Whatever you offer... consider it a day one sale for me!
masschamber #932 Posted November 7, 2017 arghhh the sd cart makes me ask, do I want to sell my jag collection and just use the cart, keep the collection and get a cart anyway, so skip the sd cart (definitely the worst option)
leech #933 Posted November 8, 2017 arghhh the sd cart makes me ask, do I want to sell my jag collection and just use the cart, keep the collection and get a cart anyway, so skip the sd cart (definitely the worst option) I actually have been building my collection, I don't think I will sell it, it is the only console I collect for, though I still play the games. The hassle of takingoutthe cartridge/CD makes me not play as often though.
blipsqueak #934 Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) I'll definitely be keeping mine. Collecting actual carts is half the fun! Edited November 8, 2017 by blipsqueak
+SabertoothRetro #935 Posted November 8, 2017 I'll keep all of my games and get a pair of these for convenience and wear and tear. The LynxSD has not left my Lynx since I got it. It's great. Love the look of the 3D printed cart too. Can't wait SainT.
Namdor #936 Posted November 8, 2017 Saint if it is a 3D printed mold (totally okay with that) will the innards fit in a legit jaguar shell if we decide to empty out a common if we choose to? Thanks!
Sector7e #937 Posted November 9, 2017 I'd pay for that shell. Three hours of sleep, so... idle hands/devil's workshop, and all that. No, I'm not serious about these. Well, except for the second design which I like so much I may just IndieGoGo that stuff and make a friggin' mint... err, I mean for the good of the community. #TheHomerRulesRetroHQ_JagSD2.jpg RetroHQ_TheHomer.jpg

Lol, I need to start a FAQ -- no, it wont fit in a standard case without heavy modification. The screw holes are places differently and the handle part at the top would need to be removed plus holes but for memory card and micro USB connectors. But the PCB is otherwise the right dimensions to fit inside the case -- so it is possible, but would quite a bit of work to get it to fit. You just for giggles you should make the case look like a 5200 cart!
Jagosaurus #940 Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) I personally would prefer the cartridge case to be a 3D printed shoulder bust statue of Jeff Minter. Edited November 10, 2017 by Jagosaurus
DoTheMath #941 Posted November 11, 2017 I personally would prefer the cartridge case to be a 3D printed shoulder bust statue of Jeff Minter. Only if it has LED-lit pink eyes.

SainT #943 Posted November 14, 2017 I've been sidetracked with shipping LynxSD carts as I've had a batch of PCB's arrive. So many things to juggle.... Soon.

+xucaen #945 Posted November 14, 2017 On a side note, I am considering selling off some of my boxed jaguar cartridges just to pay for the SD cart when it becomes available. I don't want to take any chance on missing out.
