Upcoming Jaguar Game Drive Cartridge

Recommended Posts

Please make the PCB to fit on a donor cart, dont use 3D printed cartridge.

It's not an option.

Please feel free not to purchase the cart with 3D printed case.

Please make the cart in the shape of Jack Tramiel's Head? :P

SainT seems to have a good 3D printer, judging by the LynxSD Cart. So I have no worries that this will turn out awesome!

I can’t believe we’re worried about the case?!?! Do you realize the awesomeness that is gonna be inside this case?!?!

I hope it comes on a PCB mounted with multicolour LED's in the shape of the Atari Fuji logo.

Which beats in time to the bass of the game I'm playing.

(I'm joking)

My body is ready for Battlemorph an Highlander. I'll also be able to finally finish Towers 2!

I really liked Highlander, completed it. Too bad the sequels never were made.

I never completed Towers 2 either. Though I did attempt to play Towers one two player on the ST at one point, but if I recall it was one of the few games that required a full meg of RAM, so it did not work on the 1040ST my friend had at the time.

I just want to say that I think SainT's case design looks awesome.

Agreed, it is fantastic.

Nice to see progress being made. This is a day one purchase for me. Looking forwards to play all these games I never had a chance to try.

It is good to see SainT raised the bar at such level that people are only busy with the plastic shell :-)

For what it's worth, I got an OSSC and a Jaguar to SCART cable, and it looks AMAZING on my 55" TV via the HDMI output on the OSSC.

Played some Rayman with full stereo sound and everything!

Very much looking forward to the SD Cartridge!

Just to piss people off can you make the box the size of a game gear box, with a GBA sized manual? :D

Why go that far? Just print the spine upside down ;)

Just caught up with this thread. With all the amazing homebrew stuff being done on the Jag due to a pretty passionate fanbase I always wondered why no-one ever did something like this and also new controllers.

Seems like both could be happening soon.

can't wait to see this actually exist. while I do nto have a jaguar yet it is a console I am in search of. I found one, but it's 175 at the local store and I, unfortunately, don't have that right now. Hoping it will still be there for a little bit, maybe can find some money. lol

Hey SainT! I have been lurking this thread for more than a year for updates and am so excited about all this project that I had to comment. Thanks for all your hard work, I find this type of hardware/software reverse engineering fascinating and boy has this work project been a ride!

Keep on doing great work, we are all rooting for you!

Hello SainT,

have you tested the fast rom mode of the Jaguar with your Jaguar SD cartridge ?

No, just been working off the standard cycle timing all commercial games use. I'm not sure if I'll look into faster ROM access... it's already very tight on the SDRAM cycle access.
