Atariland.org back online

Recommended Posts

Some DDOS attacks the last couple of days left us offline...

We are backonline now.. how ever if these attacks continue it is so stressful getting it back running.. and i may not have time to get the server running again once i go back to work in 2 weeks.

Must be commodore fans in china...

P.S. We have the IP's of all the attackers and are requesting the customer info.. and have reported it to their ISP's abuse department here.. so if its anyone here.. say goodbye to your internet account.

Why in the world would any visitor from AtariAge do that kind of things to your fabulous website/archive?

I would doubt very much anyone from here would hack the site, in terms of software, its all old stuff that has been archived on many alternate sites so even idea of someone attempting to mirror a site is totally slim. As for a DDOS attack,, on a retro software place?

Unless there's someone you really pi$$ed off somewhere I would have thought DDOS attacks were reserved for sites higher up the line, no disrespect.

In case the issue with the ddos persists, have you considered using the free cloud flare service (cloudflare.com). I'm by no means affiliated with them, but have used their service in the past to mitigate attacks.

Was just at your site. Was getting the message "server not excepting connection" when going into the software area. I don't know why anyone would attack your site, but I'd get a hardware firewall on that server asap.
