Just in case you are unaware, from my understandings 2600 tempest was never released so if you seen one it was likely a reproduction cart, hence Al offering to make one.

Correct, if you see anything but a legitimate Atari Lab Loaner cart, it's definitely a reproduction.

Here's the label I have for Tempest 2600 carts. It's a slightly modified version of the label we used for the 5200 version, and it looks great on the cart!

If you order a 2600 Custom Cart in the store ("Legacy Board" version), and then leave a note that you want a copy of Tempest, I'll make sure you get one.

Not sure on that. The label text says paddles, but the original proto works with the joystick.

 

Albert: Which revision of the proto do you have? Does yours have the “title screen” (game title above the play field)?
