Bob K
Has anyone seen or have the program PC99Disk? It was offered for PC99 dsk replacement when using PC99 (WSECTOR & RSECTOR) and changing disks, I downloaded the program from Wolfgang Bertsch's site but I keep getting some kind of error in German and have no ides what it means. Has anyone used this program? 1st error: Fehler beim Zugriff auf die Systemregistrierung If I click OK on that error I get: Unerwarteter Fehler; Anwendung wird beendel O.k. You got that? :-) Thanks for any help. Bob K.
vectrexroli
I don´t know PC99Disk, but the translation for error 1 would be something like "Error when accessing system registry" and error 2 means something like "Unxpected error, program will be terminated". Maybe you have to use it in admin mode?
kl99
I have it, but it's under copyright restrictions. I suggest you to contact Mike Wright. Further if I remember correct there is some protection that prevents the disk files index from being read the default way (DMII). Bob K
i would ask Mike but the program was written by Wofgang Bertch from Europe, he holds the copyright. The instruction pages that came with the program states under Copyright that the program is freeware and can be shared in its full form with other users. I tried to contact Wolfgang but I guess the URL is no longer good.
+Ksarul
Here's a link to Wolfgang's current website. He is still active in the TI community. . .

kl99
Ok Bob. I got you wrong I thought with Pc99Disk you mean the TI formatted Disk with the Name Pc99 that was part of the Pc99 Emulator package. You can find the program here: http://cadd99.com/pc99disk.zip Have fun, Klaus
Bob K
Hi- I just noticed that PC99Disk DOES run on my Windows XP computer but won't run on my Windows 7 computer that PC99 is installed on. Does anyone know what any differenced might be, perhaps a file that is changed in Win7? On the Windows XP computer I can just run it from the folder I got when I "UnRAR'ed" it, it works fine. thanks Bob K.
kl99
Well, it runs on Windows Server 2012 here in the office. What do you get in Windows 7 instead of the program starting? Normally you get an error message or some kind of hint what is wrong. The required dll files are within the program release. Please ensure that you not only click on the exe within the opened zip but really unzip the whole program before opening the exe file within the extracted folder. Could it be that you have to run the program "as Administrator"? Since it tries to access the root of Drive C:\ by Default, or to be more precise C:\PC99 which is within the protected area of Windows by default. I suggest to run it with full permissions (as Admin). And the .ini file is there to define the location of Pc99 and the DiskImage Paths. "[PC99 Diskpath]DSKpath=c:\pc99\dsk\[PC99 Execute]PC99exe=c:\pc99\pc99.exe" BR Klaus
Bob K
Thank You- I will try that and get back to you. When I start it from the PC99Disk shortcut on the dektop I get a error in German(I think it is anyway.) If I click on the O.K. I get another error in German(Again I think.) When I start it from the desktop PC99disk Folder I get the same thing, I have deleted the files atleast 4 times and reinstalled hoping I would get one program that works. I have tried to email Wolfgang three times now but I believe the messages are not being sent as I have no outgoing messages in my Sent Folder on OUTLOOK. I checked to make sure that the correct files ARE in the SYSTEM folder and the PC99 folder. Thanks for the reply. Bob K.

Bob K
I was just wondering if it would have worked using Win XP compatibility mode, I noticed that check block while doing the Admin setup.
