fdurso224 #1 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Hi Guys, Do you view a gaming channel that provides enjoyable video game content and the channel doesn't receive the attention or appreciation it deserves compared to other well known publishers on the internet? If so, do you know any in particular that you like to share for others to take notice to help give additional exposure to see what he/she has to offer for the community? Anthony... StopDrop&Retro #2 Posted July 30, 2016 I've been following this guy named StopDrop&Retro, I think he's a real mensch and everyone on AtariAge should subscribe to him and shill his videos. Nah, jk. That channel sucks. Seriously though, I love watching small YouTubers. Here are some of my recommendations for channels that deserve a lot more love: Hard4Games these guys are fun to watch and have their own style of video making that you don't really see anywhere else, very chummy and you feel like you're part of the fam. Their livestreams are really enjoyable, and I'm the type of guy who hates streamers and let's plays. I've seen a few other people recommend them around the web, so I guess they're probably the most well known on my list but I think they're best described as a "cult classic" channel. Old Game Box this guy has incredibly good production values for having such a small channel. You can tell he uses his channel to make content he likes and doesn't really follow fads. I like when channels do their own thing. Red Bard this is a very new channel that does mostly vlogging style content but she does good work Thunderchild Gaming full disclosure- I know this guy personally, but he makes very detailed reviews of games and movies which is right up my alley. UnboxedTV wow, this guy has been plugging away for a long time and has very few subs. I'll admit I don't watch all of his content. In fact I find a lot of it unwatchable but his videos where he wraps up the progress/deliveries for Kickstarters he's backed are very enjoyable. Leftover Culture Review another Australian, shit it must be tough for Australian youtubers for some reason. I don't even think this guy still makes regular content, if he doesn't that would be sad because his stuff was top notch. But he is what I think of when I hear "underrated gaming channel." And now for one I found recently that makes such good content he's in a league of his own - 8 Bit Brody I mean it, watch this video, you're going to love it! I can't wait to see more from this guy, he probably has the highest talent to low subs ratio of all the people I've mentioned here. If he can keep delivering the goods I expect his channel to really blow up in the next year or so, if it doesn't this world ain't fair.

I didn't even make it all the way through the whole video.
HoshiChiri #5 Posted July 30, 2016 I'm never sure how to answer these, because I never know what counts as 'underrated'. Just going by the numbers of the guys I subscribe to, I pick Guru Larry- I'm always surprised by his content because it's really and truly original stuff. You'd think that would get more views. I always have to mention LoadingReadyRun. They do a lot of general comedy content, but they stream games almost everyday on twitch. Don't let the low numbers fool you- these guys have over a decade's worth of content all around the internet. They're fully and truly professionals. I'm gonna have to agree with you on that 8-bit Brody guy... dunno if it's really my thing, but that does not look like a channel with only a few hundred subscribers. I hope he finds his audience.

jaybird3rd #8 Posted July 30, 2016 Everyone should also check out Will Cladley's YouTube channel, Game Escape. Anyone who followed the Retro VGS / Coleco Chameleon debacle will remember the "Nostalgia SH-IT" parody videos that Cladley produced. He started his "Retro Critical" podcast shortly afterward, and he now uses his channel to post complete episodes and segments from the podcast, along with reviews and the occasional parody video. It's all very well-produced and deserves a larger audience.
