atx4us
Hello Everyone, I wrote this simple Simon! (Repeat the Pattern of the Four Color Pads) program many years ago to test out BASIC XL. When I got the Colleen Emulator running on my Android phone, I really wanted to adapt the program to use the Touchscreen instead of the joystick interface. I wrote to Tom Hudson of the ANALOG magazine days and he gave me some information to get me started - Thanks, Tom! The interface is very simple. The Paddle(0) gives the X and the Paddle(1) gives the Y values of the touched location. The paddle trigger, PTrig(0) is used for sensing when the screen is touched. I wrote a small subroutine at the end of the program to convert the touched screen locations into a Joystick value. Both the Joystick and Touchscreen versions are included in the attached zip file for your use and study. Last but not least, you'll need to remember to Enable the Touchscreen Mode in the Preferences menu of the Colleen emulator to turn on the Touchscreen functionality. Have fun! +CharlieChaplin
My two kids love Senso/Simon ! Think I have to buy the plastic (board?) game in a few days... Maybe this was your secret plan, Hayden, and you get royalties from MB/Hasbro now But since it is 2016 now, you may hear something from their lawyers... In the meanwhile, here is a (highscore) screenshot from my 8 year old kid: http://www.abbuc.de/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8973 Edited July 31, 2016 by CharlieChaplin

I noticed that you're using the Joystick version. My kids also love this simple game which is one of the reasons why I wanted to add the Touchscreen capability to the game. I hope I don't hear from any lawyers
