maibock #1 Posted April 30, 2003 while on the treadmill So, not a bright move, got it.. won't happen again.. promise I lost the little spring which goes under the red button - I'm eyeing the spring in one of my ballpoint pens at work. Anyone know if that'll work? Thanks!
D.Yancey #2 Posted April 30, 2003 I've never tried that, but I bet if you cut it a little shorter with wire cutters it will work. All it does is push the red button back up into position so you can fire again. If you have any other old/broken joysticks, maybe you can take one from it. Good luck! D.Yancey #6 Posted May 10, 2003 Since the idea of cutting the spring did work, I think it wise to put the cut end pointing up toward the button. The point of the cut spring could eventually wear a hole in the microswitch on the joystick if it were pointing down. I'm glad it worked for you!
