But nobody ever plays that crappy game IIRC, Victory was a rotary controller game inthe arcade, and reviews of Victory for the CV way back in the Ferg all panned the game for the horrible choice of controller. ed1475 Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) The US version of Victory had a bug which prevented the quarks, paratroopers, and scouts from being in the game. The CBS version corrected the bug and is much better and more challenging. The US version is super easy because your only fighting half of the types of enemies that should be in the game. NIAD Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Slither and Victory were the two games made exclusively for use with the Roller Controller (trakball), but by sliding the switch on the R.C. from "Roller" to "Joystick", you can use the Trakball with any ColecoVision game to varying degrees of success. The games that work best in "Joystick" mode are Centipede, WarGames and War Room, but there are probably others that I have not tried. The owner's manuals for all these games are available in PDF and even text file format, so before stating something that you are not sure of... RTTF. BTW, NewColeco hacked most of the games that require a special controller on the CV to work with the standard hand controller and you can easily find the FREE ROM FILES by looking around. Vectorman Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Decathalon is unplayable without the roller controller IMO. Having to jerk the joystick L-R 2,500 x per minute not only is no fun, it kills your hand and destroys CV joysticks. Is there a way to use the Atari computer trakball with CV? The Atari trakball controller is much nicer and solid feeling and has a larger, arcade sized ball.
