Importing combat maps from the map creator into the game

Maybe. Map data begins at address $F779, 12 bytes for each of the 3 playfield registers...mirrored for the lower half of the screen. Other playfield layouts all use shared data, so it's more difficult to change those without affecting other maps. Of course, the easy way is to alter the program to unshare these data tables so you can use whatever custom maps you want. Altering the "ORG $F7FC" in the assembly file to read "ORG $FFFC" doubles the size of the rom to give you an extra 2k of memory you can play around with.
