I have the NES version myself... though I'd rather play 1943 Kai on PC Engine. I still need to get that game.

I'll be covering the Kai variation this week.  It's been a while since I played it but I remember it looking much nicer.

It was fate since I just found a copy of 1943 Kai for $50 on Ebay the other day.

Nice one!  The PC Engine port is really good for the system.

Talking of which,

Following on from last week's 1943, we have 1943 Kai on Battle of the Ports

Make no mistakes.  This is bloody awful!

I'm waiting for the Famiclone Mini Classic so I can relive the days of playing a 1000 versions of Contra back in the 2000's.... :D

Didn’t know there was a Genesis version of Top Gear 2 until recently.

Yeah, very odd that they made only made the sequels for the Genesis and not the first Top Gear (same with the Lotus series also by Gremlin).

Many and maybe most of those are different games and not ports. Hence the considerable differences.

Yeah, sadly I don't think  the Mega Drive version was very good.  It could have been a killer game but ......  Still, at least Lotus III is good.

Today I uploaded a new video.

Once in a while these clone systems can surprise you.
