+Gemintronic #1 Posted August 28, 2016 So, I'm procrastinating on an immediate deadline so I thought it would be a good time to revisit rB+ I tried installing the latest rb+_install.exe into a directory with ooooold rB+ files. Went to the command line. Ran the build.bat on an example project folder and BAM!! Worked. Virtual Jag popped up and ran the example. Next, I tried over-installing to a different directory - this time NOT as Administrator. Same result. Do you know how hard it is for most devs to get this part right? The part that can make or break further interest in the end user is here. You guys nailed it. THANK YOU.
omf #2 Posted August 28, 2016 you realise, it doesnt even need to be installed. it will run just fine just put in a folder somewhere if your intending to actually use it, i would look into the notepad++ add on code and syntax hilighting, i dont know if that has been added to the folder yet but i can supply that if wanted. (i have written that myself, probably not complete but its pretty much there)
ggn #3 Posted August 29, 2016 Thanks! It really took a lot of effort to get it to be self contained but I'm glad people appreciate it. Hopefully this user friendliness will bring more people to the language .

Most likely due to lack of familiarity with notepad++ Could you post the rB+ add on please?
omf #5 Posted August 29, 2016 the actual addon can already be found in rb+, the syntax hilighting is my own creation in the rb+ folders, goto <RB+ folder>\DOCS\Notepad++ NPPExec presets current syntax highlight version is attached, it can be imported into notepad++ in the language creation menu not, there are probably missing commands (that i have not used, but should be a good start. it is a work in progress rb+ npp language hilight.xml
