Hi tep392,

I know that my question is outdated but have I any luck for a "WSAXL128.COM" file?

If you want a 128k Axlon ramdisk, just use the WSAXLON.COM file on Warp Speed DOS XL 2.42 disk

I did a little modification to my Axlon compatible 512k.  I added a battery and a DS1210 non-volatile memory controller so that it will retain its contents after a power cycle.

This screen shows the contents of DO: were intact even after I removed the board to photograph it. :)  I can also boot other programs, and as long as they don't touch banked RAM, it will retain the files when I reboot SDX.

Very nice!  I noticed something similar happens with my 320k XL board if it uses external power.

Having a little fun with my battery backed 512k board and Omnimon 8K today.  Omnimon has a command I #, that will initialize the Axlon board as a RAM drive and patch the resident DOS code.  I used Dos2.0 for this, writing the DOS files, now patched, to the RAM drive to make it bootable.  When I power my 800 back on, I can use the B # command from Omnimon to boot the RAM drive and get DOS2 running. :)

Then I tried putting in my Atariwriter cartridge and powering on.  Again I use the B # command to boot my RAM drive and then jump back to the cart from DOS.  After a warm RESET, the RAM drive was visible from Atariwriter and I could save documents to it. Fun stuff!

Edit: Just tried using BASIC cart and that works fine also when booting from the RAM drive.
