Adam Keyboard question

Does anyone know what the 2 unused keys on the Adam keyboard were intended for? They are on the membrane between the space bar and the arrow keys and the holes are there in the keyboard but they do not have any keys . I'm gonna test tomorrow to see what key code it gives but am curious what was the intention.

A question that has been asked numerous times over the years and I don't recall every seeing an answer.

 

Probably best to ask Howard E. on the Coleco Adam Facebook page... if he doesn't know, I don't know who would.
