I'd LOVE to buy a brand new real C64. As time passes I want more details. Like will they do keyboards or at least keycaps?

Did that Indiegogo campaign about new keycaps deliver? It was run in parallel with Dallas' Kickstarter campaign about new shells. The caps were designed from scratch, but perhaps Jens is obtaining licenses to manufacture more of those as well, which would leave the rubber plungers and circuit boards left to manufacture. The plungers can't be too hard to make, and circuit boards must be standard practise for Individual Computers to order, so perhaps they'll make all of it if there is demand for it.

 

There also are those super expensive C64 keyboards with high quality micro switches. They were made in small batches but I think completely sold out despite the price. If something can be done to soften the price tag, there might be a market for those.

I'm not sure. While I did purchase a couple of the Kickstarter cases, I just used some original clean 64 keyboards with mine.

For some reason, I was more compelled to order keycaps in a funny colour than a new case, but in the end I didn't get neither.
