There are four carts that remain to be fully paid for. Everyone has given me dates by which the balance will be paid. So, I believe that they are no longer available. If that changes, I will let people know. However, I already have more than enough people on a waiting list to cover those multiple times over. FEAR NOT! I have discussed this with ElectroTrains and I am going to offer a new run of 100 carts. I will open it up in a new thread on 17Feb. Also, this time, ElectroTrains will be guaranteed part of the profit. I wanted to do that last time, but, well, there wasn't any. . . Here is how it will work: 17-Feb Deposits/Payments begin As some others have done, I am going to accept full payments starting on that date. Details on how to do so will be in the new thread. Once I have 55+ pre-orders, I will start the process to construct them. However, if by 17April, I do not have at least 50 pre-orders, All payments will be refunded. Assuming that the 50+ level is reached 17Apr, on 23APR I will take the boards (which I already have) and the SMD components to the Assembler. Barring complications, I expect to have the SMD finished boards back by 07May. I will then begin assembling the SD cards readers, programming connections, and cases. Then, I will program all of them. Based on prior experience, this will probably take 2 weeks (school will be finished, so no classes to teach). That means shipment should begin around 21May. I would expect that based on the reports I have been getting, carts should be in people's hands around 01 Jun. In case it is a dealbreaker: NO CUSTOMS FORMS WILL BE changed/altered/etc. The USPS has gotten a bit particular on this and it is just not worth it to me. Costs: $95 Shipping: US: $10. Ship from the States to other countries and not only does the shipper pay thru the nose but the recipient gets fleeced also at delivery... It's unfair and downright unsettling... I actually clear international freight through customs for a living. The reason it is so cheap here in the U.S. is because a HELL OF A LOT OF STUFF is duty free or very very low duty rate. Serpentor Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 I got the cart and love it. I am wondering, what is the purpose of the connector on the back of the cart? Is it for updating the cart? I am working on modifying a cartridge shell to replace the 3D printed one and wondered if I really need to create an opening for that connector. If the cart can be updated through the menu instead of using that connector, I might just close it up in the new shell. That would also give my cart a cleaner look. I'm working on making a custom 3D printed one for my older Rev 1.1 cart, and I did leave the opening for it. That being said, I have not reprogrammed my Ultimate Cart, or The!Cart so I wouldn't say it would be a bad idea to cover that. Ok, I went ahead and cut a square in the back of my shell to accommodate access to the JTAG port. Thank you for offering such a great item and for the reply. Anyone interested in having one of these for themselves in their choice of color, let me know. The case is of course two piece, held together with four black oxide hex head screws that thread into brass heatsets embedded into the lid of the cartridge case. This case is compatible with all 8-bit Atari machines. Test photos can be provided if needed. For those replying from this thread, you can have one for $15.00 USD plus shipping. Just PM me.
