I've never been terribly good at Dig Dig, though I've always thought it was really fun to play. So, new personal best high score in the original arcade version of Dig Dig! I was sooooo close to getting that extra life at 40,000

The lightsaber miniboss at the start of level 5 Cyber Road just annihilates me. He depleted my reserve of lives and I ended up dying to the level boss (which I was so close to beating…) I tried continuing but it restarts you from the beginning of the level and the lightsaber dude massacreed me mercilessly.

Oh heck yes! After all these years I finally broke 100,000 points in Galaga! This game is an absolute classic from the arcade golden age and a ton of fun, but I've never been very good at it so it was super satisfying to finally cross 100k and set a new all time personal best high score!

I have been enjoying the Colecovision masterpiece that is Lock 'N Chase this week. What an excellent and pure test of reaction time and on the fly strategy. Logic vs. greed. The risks and heart stopping near misses make this game a real thrill, and predicting enemy behavior in every situation after learning what each color enemy might do can combine with experience and luck to make some truly wild moments. 

 

I play on skill level three and my score for now is 2,514

 

I take every chance I can to talk about this game in case even one person discovers it and enjoys it as much as I do.

New personal best high score in the original arcade version of Gyruss! I had never really played this game much until recently, but it's a lotta fun. Gyruss is basically Tempest for machines that couldn't do vector graphics Cool music too!

I was recently thinking about getting back into game boy, and this is as good of a reason as any. Just need to decide between what seems like infinite variations of the hardware.

Consider an Analogue Pocket. I thought I could live without a backlight but I can’t. There are kits to add a backlight to most any Game Boy if you are handy with a soldering iron.
