Aluminum Switch Replacement?

Hi all,

I have a 4-switch Vader that's missing the metal portion of one of the switches. The switch itself works fine, but it's impossible to press with the top cover on since all of it's inside the console. Is it possible somehow to replace just the top part, or am I going to need to desolder and replace the entire switch?

Thanks!

It's actually the Game Select switch, so momentary switch (or whatever it's called). I have a parts 2600 so I pulled off one of the metal caps on it and tried to glue it to my 4-switch, which didn't work at all as you might have guessed. I expected it to slip over the plastic somehow but it was just attached flush to the top.

Yeah, that probably wouldn't work. You would need to pry off the whole top part of the switch. There are little metal prongs that you bend outward, usually just doing one side is good enough. Be careful pulling it off, as you don't want to lose the spring (which might shoot out) and the 2 leaf switch parts.
