matthew954
I just got myself an Atari 7800 from ShopGoodwil.com, and didn't come with any controllers. I've been playing my 2600Jr with a Genesis controller and want to use it with the 7800. I know of the Ed Laddin Seagull 78 adapter but has anyone had any experience with this one on eBay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-to-Atari-7800-controller-adapter-/201675697445?_trksid=p2352135.m2548.l4275 It's about 6 bucks cheaper, and alot slimmer. Though I'm generally cautious when dealing with eBay,

Though I'm generally cautious when dealing with eBay, I make those. Sold about ~80 of them so far. ave1
I think they both are reliable and very good products. I own the Seagull78 and it has served its purpose in my household for over a couple years now.

0078265317
The seagull is slimmer not the ebay thing. I got one 25 something including shipping with a coupon code. I forget the code bur mentioned it in another thread here. It is the best. Allows me to use my genesis controllers. And even my NES controllers with series of adapters. And playstation controller with tototek adapter. Only the steering wheels don't work.

You don't own one and I'm quite certain Revenge adapter's pcb shell is slimmer has a more streamline / inline design, the db9 ports are inline with each other. Revenge Adapter (pcb shell size, including metal db9 port) 1.75 long x 1.1875 wide x .625 tall (in inches)
Godzilla
Do these work as one button controllers for the 2600? Would it be possible to get the four directions mapped to the four extra buttons of the six button?
Giles N
@Godzilla @matthew954 I use controllers from RetroGameBoyz. Both common ‘2 fire button’ and ‘Robotron double-pad-in-one-controller’. I’m very satisfied with them. But... I have no 2600; «only» 7800s that serves as 2600-player. Edited March 22, 2021 by Giles N
