daldude #1 Posted September 29, 2016 The Song DK Arcade plays on the title screen is not actually from Donkey Kong Arcade but it was removed in the final version I guess and the Help from Pauline was going to be in Donkey Kong supposedly but maybe the hardware could not handle digitized audio or due to RAM or ROM space limitations also that song that plays if you do real good and never die before you get to the third Rivets screen (or at least I think that is what triggers it) was also going to be in Donkey Kong. Plus when Pauline says Right when you successfully activate the hidden different Donkey Kong Growl sound was going to be in the Arcade Donkey Kong. The Game Over song was also possibly going to be in there. Check out this link https://tcrf.net/Donkey_Kong_(Arcade)#Unused_Music
mr_me #2 Posted September 29, 2016 Thanks, I always wondered about the extra tunes in DK Arcade. I understand that hidden sprite is what inspired one of the new screens in D2K. Here's some other info. http://www.gooddealgames.com/interviews/int_Kulczycki.html The Ikegami Tsushinki Co logo is interesting. They supposedly kept the copyright on the original Donkey Kong resulting in them suing Nintendo twice.
