Any GUI-based .jpg-to-DHGR converters out there?

Do you own an Apple IIGS? If so you can download, or I can send you a copy of, Super Convert 4.0. It will convert from jpg to Apple II format and is a GUI driven program.

Yes. I have a IIgs. Perhaps it is time to pull it out and make it ready. I also found a copy of SC4 right in my own archives. So it will convert a .jpg to DHGR? Cool. I didn't know that.

It might take a little more work. You can convert the jpg to IIGS SHR. Then you can use The Graphics Exchange for the GS to convert the SHR to DHGR.

You could also convert a .jpg to a .bmp as there are a couple of bitmap to DHR convertors out there that run under Prodos 8.

There is for the apple II

 

BMP - converts BMP to DHR - runs under Prodos 8 - needs to have millions of colors reduced to 16 colors first

IIGIF - converts GIF files to a single or DHRes image - system file that runs under Prodos 8

 

 

For a PC or Mac (running DosBox)

TOHGR - a very simple command line program to convert images in PNG, JPG, or XPM format to Apple II images
