Diep.99 abandoned

Recommended Posts

Some of you might have seen a video of this on youtube, and I'm posting it here just for the record.

I thought it would be interesting to make a spin-off of the very popular game http://diep.io that my kids are playing all the time, but after studying the game in a but more details I have come to realize that there is much more to this game than the simple graphics that first meets the eye, and even modern computers might lack processing power. Another problem is the control, in the original you can turn and move your tank individually. I had to make a hack for this to work on a 4 way 1 button joystick so you can only rotate your tank while you are shooting.

If someone wants to make version of asteroids this would be a place good start. From my perspective this source code is now *abandoned*.

The error code 50 is misleading in this case because the 0 usually means "don't know a device with that name". It seems to be output for assembly language programs read into the BASIC parser as well.

Yes, it's an E/A option 5. Just watch the video clip.
