Has anyone tried this ROM on the Mateos Multi-cart? I'm assuming I can rename it as .SG (please see below) and it should work.

  • .SG for 128kB games that use the standard bank switching scheme of eight 16kB banks, like Xenophobe.
  • .SGR for 128kB games that use the standard bank switching scheme of eight 16kB banks and additional RAM, like Jinks.
  • .SGP for 128kB games that use the standard bank switching scheme of eight 16kB banks and POKEY sound IC, like Commando.

Give .SGR a try. The game requires extra/on-cart RAM.

Will do. Stepping out for a couple of hours, but I'll give it a try later this afternoon and report back. :)

*** Update: The ROM works well with the .SGR extension. Thanks for porting this to the 7800 RevEng.

  • 8 months later...

Somehow, this game ended up on a multicart experiment I was doing, 8 games that all require RAM.

I wonder if anyone would be interested in that, to support further homebrew development advancements in hardware.

Yup. I'd be in for that! What other games are you thinking of putting on there, CPUWIZ?

The games I crammed on here are:

Summer Games

Winter Games

Jinks

Tower Toppler

Sirius

Plutos

Possible Mission

Serpentine

You're welcome. ;)

Sorry, still processing this, and I'm a bit behind...

Did those other games have RAM on their carts?

Is there a list of games that did?

Yes, they all require RAM, smaller amounts for some, more for others. But none of them run without RAM (or are visually impossible to look at).

Still experimenting.

You had forgot about the game, I had mentioned it to you the other day.

Nope, I was reminded by someone else, almost at the same time. RevEng gave me Trebor's RAM pack (so to speak), that is when I realized and posted the [CENSORED] message. :dunce:
