table or standup?

which of these are more sought after the cocktial type arcade machine or the standup ones ???

By far, games like Pac Man and Ms. are more sought than uprights. I would say some games look cooler as stand ups (Tron, Crystal Castles), and do not have the same following.

 

As for games like Space Invaders, the cabinets on the stand ups always seem to be trashed, but the cocktails always seem to be in good shape. Wierd.

considering the amount of beer and coke spilled on the cocktail machine at my local pub that is very supprising.

Not really surprising. Gamers have more opportunity to be agressive while standing (as well as putting more force on the controls)...cocktail machines are more relaxed (which is why I suck playing on one).
